Yes, that's the series I had in mind.
In addition to the kernel issues involved in creating so many sockets, it also discusses resource utilization in terms of kbytes-per-socket. That's not something I've ever had to worry about, but it obviously becomes very important when you try to handle a million connections. Does anyone know how CFNetwork fares?
