OK, step 1, why are you using CFSocket?

There /are/ good reasons to use CFSocket (listening sockets prior to 10.9, UDP, other wacky sockets like routing sockets, and so on) but most folks are better served by something higher level (NSStream) or lower level (BSD Sockets).
