Right, it's doing peer-to-peer over Bluetooth.

Which means that this is almost certainly a coexistence problem. Try turning Bluetooth off; my guess is that will a) stop peer-to-peer working, and b) avoid the problems with catching the broadcasts.

Turned off Bluetooth.
GameKit threads did not appear on the devices. Peer-to-peer still seemed
active. We didn't lose very many packets when starting our test bench
app; upon turning MCSession browsing on, we started to lose lots of
packets. When we turned browsing back off, we continued to lose lots of
packets.
