I would suggest trying Sony XDCAM Transfer for the Mac first since it's free. Once you have it installed you can do an export from FCP and it'll place an MXF file in your destination folder. The MXF has to be compatible with Sony XDCAM decks so that will of course place some restrictions but if the file is compatible with whatever your customer is using then that will be fine.
