| Ran into a problem today. At first it appeared that we had a problem with our XML output not relinking when re-imported to FCP. At NAB timeframe our app exported XML that relinked in FCP 6.0.x of April (Probably 6.0.1 or 6.0.2).
Turns out that today it does not relink. I regressed to the version we had at NAB and it also does not relink.
In testing today I tried exporting a Sequence as XML 4 where the clips were clearly linked and then immediately importing that same XML export back to FCP 6.0.4. The sequence, when imported, is not linked to the media.
It *seems* that there is an FCP issue where the act of exporting to XML and immediately importing the XML of that sequence into the same, or a new Project, loses connection to the media. (Quite separate from our App - this test goes nowhere but out XML and back in XML).
In testing it is the same whether FCP project is on the same drive as the media files (both external, or both internal) and when project is internal and media is external.
Is this being seen by anyone else, or is it a local problem to my system, which is mostly standard. Unfortunately I can't mention the non-standard parts here so if this isn't being seen by anyone else, I'll look harder at that issue.
