Same goes for Motion 3.  Ultimately it could be a better Flash and I've been using Flash since 1997 when it was FutureSplash.

If I may recommend, this is the wrong forum for discussion of this type. This is an apple pro-application developers list.

Motion is 100% completely unrelated to Flash and it's target audience. It's an animation/fx tool for post production professionals - animators, etc.

It doesn't have anything to do with realtime content display or interaction. It's purpose is for generating images and integrating FX into the Final Cut pipeline - or other post production pipelines, in my usage... :) IE, anything with the end result as an image. This is not an interactive or web-related medium.

Can you provide me with any ADC developer URLs or ADC DVD's where such examples would exist for Motion 3 so I can start learning by example.

This is probably the most relevant. For Motion 3 development, you want FXPlug version 1.2 or newer, depending on the version of Motion you are developing for:

Anyone know when CoreAnimation will be released?  I've seen the demonstrations.

It's part of Leopard. Get an ADC membership (free or otherwise), and then check out the documentation, located here:
