Is VANC metadata preserved?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask such a question, but I couldn't find any other FCP related Apple lists.

My question is, if an MOV with VANC metadata is brought into FCP, and immediately exported back out (For example, an XDCAM 50 clip is brought to the timeline and re-exported as a QT movie), is the metadata stripped or preserved? What about VBI?
