I had the same issue. After rebooting into SL for the first time, compressord was trying to start up in the background, but kept crashing because PluginManager was missing. It would do this every second, generating a crash report each time, and generally slowing my computer to a halt.

This is a nasty bug in the 10.6 Automagical Installer... But luckily once I reinstalled FCS, everything was fine.

And according to your log, that is exactly what happend to you.
No clue why.
