Maybe I'm not understanding what you're asking, but you should be able to use the FxParameterRetrievalAPI for that. Call [paramAPI getBitmap:layerOffsetX:layerOffsetY:requestInfo:fromParm:atTime:] to get the bitmap.
Or when you say iterate over "it", do you mean iterate over time? If so, you can change the value you pass in the "atTime:" parameter to get the clip in the image well at different times.
Or did you mean something else altogether?
