Some other avenues you might want to pursue, too:
1) Having a tool which generates FCP XML with the appropriate motion tab settings. I'm not sure how well this would fit into your workflow, though.
2) Using parameter linking in Motion.app. You can link a layer's transform parameters to another layer's transform parameters (or some other parameter) by using the Link behavior. Let me know if you need more information on how to do that.
