Unfortunately we're not in any clubs (I wish). We don't actually know how to parse the file - Path Manager just searches for string data and filters it. Path Manager can only read the data, it cannot write anything to the preference file. That was the best I could do without expending hundreds of man-hours trying to reverse-engineer an undocumented format that is likely to change with each version of FCP.
