I'm with Andy and Matthias.
I only did a very few fxScript based plugins, but on one or two (of
the free ones) there are thousands of users. So it won't break down
my business - as I don't earn anything - but their's.
So it would be good to have an idea what will be there in the future.
But for the moment let's take it with the words of Doris Day in the
"The Man Who Knew Too Much" (who today is Darrin)
...
Que sera, sera
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours to see
Que sera, sera
What will be, will be

I also have many FxScripts in regular use by thousands of FCP users
(everyone loves free stuff) ... am happy enough to consign those to
past history and to rewrite the more popular ones using the FxPlug

ditto. but if fxscript goes someone should really write an fxplug
fxscript parser. some things are ridiculously easy to do in
fxscript and i'm pretty sure i won't rewrite many of my plugins. an
fxscript plugin can be developed in a couple of hours when you
happen to need one yourself, no memory leaks to track down, little
worry about different color spaces or rendering modes, no nothing,
just pure power at your fingertips. :-)
