I'm in the process of developing a new filesystem for OSX - what are the requirements for a filesystem to be usable by Final Cut Pro X? Since HFS+ is currently the only filesystem supported by FCP-X, what is different about HFS+ that makes it work?
Thanks, Jeremy Peterson. Jeremy, I asked about this internally, and this is the response I received:
Currently we only show local drives that are formatted with formats we have qualified. Any drives formatted with file systems that we don't explicitly support will not show up in the sidebar. If there's enough interest in a file system we'll qualify it and start supporting it.
