Okay - I've downloaded it and this is interesting:
Motion Effects and Final Cut Pro The biggest change is that all FxPlugs will now run either directly in Motion, or as part of a Motion Effect running inside of Final Cut Pro.
I get that the FxPlug plugins need to be compiled to be 64bit, but are they backwards compatible? Or will I need to build different versions for different customers? And If I install the 2.0 SDK, will I be hosing myself for supporting FCS3?
Anyone?

"Townhill suggests that one of the reasons Final Cut Pro has become
successful is its open architecture. “We have a thriving network
of over 100 different developers that are building tools and
applications, which allow Final Cut to get plugged in to various
environments and work seamlessly in those environments.""
>From what I understand, a substantial number of those developers hasn't even become privy to the new SDK yet. Hopefully they're thriving in other ways.
