I think it's an OS X thing. I sometimes double-click a movie file and QuickTime Player launches, then I can hear the sound of the movie playing but can't see anything. If I double-click it again or launch QT Player manually the movie window appears immediately.

Anyone else ever see this when developing FxPlugs?
I've got Motion.app set as the executable for the Run command and Motion preferences set to "open last project". So I press Cmd-R and Motion does indeed launch but not fully. In Xcode console I see the usual "Class CMIOGraphService is implemented in both..." log and then nothing. Sometimes the menu bar changes to Motion, sometimes it remains on Xcode but Motion's document window doesn't appear. The only solution is to click the Motion icon in the Dock, which then fades in the document window and brings things back to life.
