I just start writing FxPlugins, so I might run into the wrong direction:

I try to implement a generative plugin to add dynamically created music into FinalCutPro.
I realised, that AudioUnits with kAudioUnitType_Generator won't show up.
However, a FxPlug plugin derived from FxGenerator shows up, and I can add my 4 parameters I need for creation. But in the timeline, if I drag the generator it will only create a video clip.

Can I make it somehow show an audio clip (instead or additionally)?
Or is the route to go rendering an audio file and inject it via an XML-workflow/mac event?
I did only find the sample code (1), is there more documentation on that?
