Unfortunately, at this time, the Metal shader debugger is not working when
debugging an XPC Service. We have an issue opened about it, and it’s being
looked at by the dev. tools team, but they have not yet found a fix.
One option is to do your shader debugging in a test app rather than in your
FxPlug, and once it’s working properly, then try it in your FxPlug. It’s not
perfect, but it’s the only workaround I know of for the time being.
