- Thread-topic: Apple Update Server weirdness?
All,
I've been running the Apple Software Update Server for about three weeks
now on 10.6.1, and it's sent locally over 200Gb of updates! I took the
method of redirecting DNS for swscan.apple.com to the local server, and
changed the port of the running ASUS server to 80, so to not have to make
changes to _every_ mac.
I have the options selected to copy all updates from Apple, and auto
enable copied updates.
I got a call the other day that 10.6 clients don't list the 10.6.1 update
on the local ASUS server. I checked the list of updates on the ASUS local
server, and sure enough, isn't even listed.
The only error logs I've got is in the service log, "unable to download or
create .smd file for product 061-6349", and 061-6527, further, "not
available for installation".
In the overview tab, I've got 286 updates copied, and 254 enabled, though
I don't see any updates in the list with !blue buttons, or !checked,
although all of the blue lights, and checkboxes are grayed out for every
update.
Has anyone seen this before, or have heard of it?
Regards,
David
