That being said, I've installed Leopard on a brand new iMac for someone who needed to run specific Leopard-only software. I installed Leopard on a slightly older iMac, connected this to the new iMac and then used Disk Utility to restore that system to the new iMac. Be aware that there may be video issues and a variety of other driver issues. Don't know who desperate you are...! Mary Mary Norbury-Glaser

Those iMacs do not support running 10.5. Only 10.6. There's a KBase explaining "computer-specific release" here:
What are you wanting to manage on those 10.6 systems? A 10.5 server can provide a lot of the management features to 10.6 clients.

For the first time I have not been able to use my current 10.5 clone on them, they Kernel Panic. I tried to boot a 10.5 disk to do a fresh install to create a new clone and it won't even boot the disk. I have not upgraded our OS X Server to 10.6 yet so I can't manage the 10.6 clients.
Anybody have any sage wisdom for me?
