I have the same problem with 3 of my Xserve both are running 10.5.8 if I reboot them they behave for a time period.
They some times say available but you can never get into them.
One says not available.
It seems to have happened after the last security update.
None of these servers have the ARD admin installed just the client.
All 3 have been running for years with no problems.
Also if I do restart them they work for the first login then log out and not available.
Very strange have not have a chance to really get down in to them other then thinking of rebuilding those Servers.
