I have glad the same experience as Connie —I just held down the power button to shut it down and when I rebooted, all was fine.

Connie,
I had similar a month or so ago. I finally just held down power until it shutdown. Then I restarted and it came up fine and said it was installed correctly.
For what it is worth

Is there any way to gracefully abort the installation without losing the o/s (and potentially hardware)?
