I had a similar issue with a 10.6.8 Server and could never quite figure out the culprit (perhaps Final Cut Server?). I had to hard reboot as well on several occasions. Subject: [Rockies-Edu] Server Issues My end users are having issues. This server is a Xserve 2.26 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon with 12 GBs Ram Updated to 10.6.8 recently ran updates (month ago) Last 2 two weeks the students are having problems logging in. Once it locked my server up to the point I had to do a hard restart. Most of the time I can restart the AFP then they can log in? Programs that they are using are Adobe Photoshop CS3, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft office (Power point presentations) Youtube, iMovie. Generally there are 100 to 150 users logged in at one time. |
