Since they see the network, is it possible to change your security to WPA/WPA2 Personal (assuming your radio mode is set to include b/g)? To use WPA2, I think you need OS 10.4.x or better (10.4.2 or .3 or above? Corey or Mike can jump in here to confirm or deny!) and on Windows you would need XP SP2 and a WPA2 patch. Also you would need to make sure the wireless hardware is compatible with WPA2. Might need firmware upgrades. The "13 characters" is for 104/128-bit WEP. I believe WPA/WPA2 have a uniform method for converting passwords to keys so hexidecimal isn't necessary. Ideally, if you had a test environment where you could turn off security entirely to confirm your legacy machines can connect to the base station and then make security changes as needed, then you might isolate the issues more quickly.
