Awhile back, I posted details about the new AppleCare + for iPad and how it covers accidental damage for up to 2 incidents. I'd like to point out that Apple updated the price for Out of Warranty iPad replacement this week.
iPad Model Out of Warranty Service Fee New iPad $299 iPad 2 $249
Here is an analysis based on 2 accidental damage claims with the new AC+ and OOW pricing:
AppleCare $99 and 2 incidents of accidental damage $49 + $49 = $197 2 Out-of-Warranty replacements $299 + $299 + $13 = $611
