Rockies list,
We have scheduled upcoming Wi-Fi Seminars that will be delivered Nov 13, 14 and 15 in Colorado. These seminars will be delivered by Tommy Hann, Apple Education Senior Consulting Engineer. Tommy's experience on a national scale allows him to bring a broad range of knowledge around Wi-Fi network design and Wi-Fi security for mobile computing to our area. He's delivered this event across the country, and the feedback has been outstanding, so we're very happy to have it here. We have a location secured in the CO Springs area for Nov. 14, but we're needing a host for Nov. 13 and Nov. 15. One up north and one in the Denver metro area would be preferred, and the facility will need to be able to hold 50 people. If you can help us out, we'd love to hear from you! Just ping me offline at email@hidden. Here's the scoop.
Event Description
What makes a well-designed network for iOS Devices and Macs? How do the device types differ from a Wi-Fi networking perspective? During this session, we will discuss basic design factors and best practices for successful Wi-Fi networks that support large densities of wireless clients. Additional discussions will include how each device type is different and how that plays into design decisions. Software and hardware demonstrations will be used to solidify the concepts being discussed.
Wi-Fi security is also an important topic for schools. How do you secure your network, yet be prepared for whatever device may be used on that network. Will you allow "outside" devices on your network? There are many ways to secure a Wi-Fi network, and each has it's own implementation details and peculiarities depending on the end device. We will discuss some of the ways to secure a network and demonstrate how to use Mobile Device Management (MDM), to configure iOS devices.
Who Should Attend?
IT Directors, Coordinators, Network Administrators and other IT-related staff
Thanks,
Corey
