Corey,
Thanks for the response.
Some tasks do complete successfully every day. Typically we have successful pushes of the profiles when we enroll machines for the first time and assign them to the settings for that particular computer group.
The tasks that we currently have "stuck" are for configuration updates that are running when the user logs into a computer. Some of these complete successfully and others just hang up.
We don't manage any settings for users, just computers.
Configuration profiles are self-signed for iOS devices. However the problem with the tasks is for OSx clients.
The server certificates all look good.
The ports are open on the network, but clients and the server don't appear to be listening for traffic on those ports.
Ideas?
-Rory

Hi Rory,
Has an active task on this server succeeded before all of these started showing as “sending” without finishing? If so, that points to a certificate issue or a firewall issue most of the time.
Ports 1640, 2195, 2196, and 5223 need to be opened (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5302)
Also, are the certificates up to date (not expired)? Are you signing configuration profiles?
Thanks,
Corey
