I emailed last week about Configurator wiping our devices. That is ongoing, and I talked to Apple support for one hour yesterday. They have no idea why this is happening.
I have tried both supervised and unsupervised devices. These devices had 7.0.3 on them. When I try not to update via Configurator, an error box appears saying something like I cannot enter recovery mode as it is set to never update.
If I update to 7.0.4, it erases everything. So I am still stuck and unable to add apps without deleting all the students’ work. Under preferences the box ‘automatically refresh’ is unchecked.
I updated one iPad manually to 7.0.4, connected it to Configurator, and it still ‘added’ 7.0.4 again and erased all student work.
Last Tuesday, before 7.0.4 came out, I successfully added apps to some iPads via Configurator.
Has anyone else experienced this? Has anyone added apps with Configurator since Thursday afternoon?
