OS X 10.9 is available on the App store. Hooray. More fun for systems administrators.
HOLD THE PHONE! I'm seeing Mavericks in my list of available software updates in spite of the fact that I do not have Mavericks released in my local Apple Software Update Server! We depend on ASUS to regulate the release of software updates to our community
in order to maintain a degree of sanity in our support environment. Consequently, our ASUS is configured to NOT enable updates as they become available. Yet is is on the app store updates screen!
Can anyone suggest how we might prevent Mavericks from both consuming my WAN bandwidth and eliminate it from the update choices for end-users? We were fortunately able to do so with our last bit of iOS fun, to our great relief. I was feeling that our
ASUS environment would prevent a similar panic for our Mac OS world. Apparently not so. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Andy Gerhard
