Hello Zach,Blocking mesu.apple.edu will not allow iOS devices to get the update catalog downloaded, which would allow them to check their version against global software update servers and see iOS 8 as available. A couple of worthy notes:1. If the user gets the catalog away from your network (where mesu.apple.com is not blocked), they’ll be able to get the software updates on your network, unless you block further URLs of software update servers (which aren’t published)2. If you utilize supervision and a global proxy, you can block mesu.apple.com and that will prevent updating via global proxy regardless of where the device goes.
