We could not be happier with our use of mobile manager from light speed. We use both JAMF and Mobile Manager and I believe both are top notch.

We had constant issues with iPads not receiving commands or apps. We saw roughly 80/20 split with most commands. 80 percent of devices would get the command, 20 percent would not. Consistently. Support was typical Lightspeed support. Simple issues often took multiple months to be responded to and were sometimes never addressed.

They have a self-service app that allows students to pick which apps they want to install without the app being forced to install (although that is still an option). They have a teacher app that allows teachers to easily lock a class into an app, clear passcodes, see battery levels, etc. Initially, we were only going to enroll the freshman into the new MDM but after seeing how reliable it was, we spent a week wiping and re-enrolling all student iPads into Casper Suite.
