Hi Brandon,
Thanks for the response. We were pretty much drawing the same conclusion, this
give us confidence that we are on the right track.
Thanks again.

Is the only way forward to migrate our redemption codes to managed distribution?
Rory, you have to convert from codes to managed distribution. You'll sign-into
your VPP account on AC2. You'll add apps (paid and free) via the VPP portal.
Those apps will show up in AC2. You can then deploy the apps from AC2 to the
devices.

Good Afternoon All,
We are moving to Apple Configurator 2 and Blueprints for an iPad Cart in one of
our labs. Everything is working smoothly except for deployment of paid apps
purchased though VPP. In Configurator 1 we imported the redemption codes into
Configurator and added the apps to the devices. We don’t seem to have this
option in Configurator 2. Searching though Apple’s documentation there are
hints that we may need to migrate our redemption codes to managed distribution.
Can anyone provide insight on using Apple Configurator 2 to deploy paid apps?

As an aside. In general our Faculty manage the cart 100% based on guidance and
support from the IT Department. To keep it simple we don’t use an MDM with the
iPads and prefer to keep the workflow 100% inside configurator.
Thanks in advance,
-Rory
