Jonathan
The issue our teachers are running into is the inability to create their
own classes. We imported all of our classes and class rosters from Apple
School Manager into our MDM (Jamf Pro). When we did that, any staff member
listed as a teacher in Apple School Manager receives an EDU profile on
their device. Then, any classes assigned to them automatically appear in
Apple Classroom. Also, any students assigned to that class can be
automatically managed if their name is associated with a device.
With the EDU profile, they are no longer able to create their own classes
that may include some specific skills grouping, etc. They would like to be
able to create their own and also have classes created for them via MDM
when it is a standard type class. Feel free to contact me off line if you
would like to discuss this further
Thank you
