Hi All,
Apple School Manager now includes a feature called Domain Verification. Domain
Verification requires that you prove ownership of the domain against which you
create managed Apple IDs (accounts in ASM).
This effects all existing Managed Apple IDs, but those created before March 5
are currently in a grandfather period where no immediate Domain Verification
action is required. However, Domain Verification does require action for all
existing ASM users, so please read along.
Domain Verification works by ASM providing you with a DNS TXT record that you
must configure in your DNS server. This is an industry standard practice that
enhances account security, and prevents name conflicts.

Expect additional resources to be provided by me soon. For now, there is no
announced end date to the active grandfather period (for accounts in use before
March 5), but it will take us well through the end of this school year.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
