Hi Everyone,
I hope this note finds you well and that the start of the school year is running smooth.
I had a few announcements I wanted to provide.
1. Everyone Can Code / STEAM-STEM events.
I am happy to announce three events this fall. These events will be focused around the “Everyone Can Code” initiative with some additional discussion and content on STEAM/STEM.
If you are not familiar, Everyone Can Code is Apple’s initiative to help bring coding to schools. http://www.apple.com/education/everyone-can-code/
Our guest speaker for these events will be Steve Hayman, Apple Consulting Engineer. I’m really excited to welcome Steve to the Pacific Northwest.
Events will be as follows:
November 1, 2016, 9AM to Noon

November 4, 2016, 9AM to Noon
Capital Region ESD 113
Tumwater WA
Everyone is welcome, including students, teaching staff, building leadership, curriculum leadership, CTE leadership, IT leadership and district leadership.

2. Apple School Manager - SFTP Update
A few weeks ago I updated the group on the release of SFTP as a new mechanism for uploading users and roster data into Apple School Manager. Apple School Manager help has been updated to provide more context on this process.
