IIRC, EOF automatically snapshots PK attributes whether or not they have the lock symbol. It's likely to need to use the PK at some point (uniquing, deletion)... I'd be surprised if you found any difference in behaviour?

Primary keys are used like attributes used for locking in that they are included in "where" clauses regardless of whether they're marked as being used for locking. So I suspect that you're correct in assuming that the used for locking designation for primary key attributes probably doesn't have any bearing on EOF behavior. Those lock icons just don't look proper on primary key attributes :-)
