Row restriction in WebObjects?

Row restriction in WebObjects?

Recently we encounter a problem with downloading data from our WebObjects 5.1 application. The applications hangs whenever it happens (after we tried to fetch pass, say, 7000 rows). Is there a restriction on the number of rows fetched in the database or number of rows that can be displayed through a WORepetition in WO 5.1? Is there a fix in later versions of WO?
Thanks in advance for your help.
