yet another solution: cumulus

set up a cumulus server on your x server. i know it has usermanagement and does webpublishing.

may be too expensive though. (?)

Brand new to the Xserve as we just bought one
(allready have a T1 line in place)

We are a photo studio, and one thing we would like to
do with our server is to have a database of images
that customers can access via a web browser.

This password protected database should be a visual
page of thumbnails in which they can download large
tiffs or small jpegs from the ones they like.
It should look like Extensis Portfolio or a contact
sheet.

We have found this company that sell server software
that does just this but they want a lot of $$$$$ for
it.

Is it possible to build something like this with
webobjects?

Thanks
