Pretty simple really. An order has one or more items to it. For example, if you go into a shop you buy a tin of beans and a loaf of bread, not only do you have a tasty snack, but you also have an order with 2 items on it.

Oh OK, that's easy enough...

When I did the Fortnum & Mason site, I started by looking at the PetStore example, but apart from the principles involved, it didn't help me much. Real commerce sites tend to be more complex. YMMV...

Arrrgg, just what I needed to know...;^)

Ps. Where did you get your ideas and inspiration from then?

G'day to y'all,
I'm onto the project of adding some e-commerce to my apps and I've been looking at WebObjects PetStore Example, from what I see, I can follow what is going on and ultimatley understand all the code but one thing is baffling me: "What is the LineItem table/entity doing?" I don't understand the link between the Order table/entity and the Item table/entity.
If some one could explain it's purpose I should be well away to get on with this. I just can't see it for looking at it.
