frameworks installed _inside_ the .woa package?

I forget how this came up, but I think someone said in 5.2, it should be
possible to install all your frameworks somewhere inside your AppName.woa
folder, so each app can easily have it's own copy of each framework, to
make it easier to deploy different apps with different versions of the
framework.
[For instance, in my case, to deploy a test development instance on my
deployment server so I can test some new features and do some debugging.]
Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about? Have any suggestions for
how to accomplish this?
