As Brent Shank stated, the JVM must be 1.3.1. Further, Web Start must
be 1.0.1. For Mac OS X 10.2, the environment is fully configured such
that Direct to Java applications run. However, for Windows 2000,
WebObjects Development needs a correct configuration of Java, which is
not included in Windows. So you can't just say that all is set to
default. Several things can go wrong if the configuration is incorrect.
This is way you need to provide to this mailing list the general error
description and the exception message as given by Java Web Start.

It is running with all set to default: I think is Web start.
The NT side has 1.2.2 JVM
When accesing the URL it downloads a file, but too small (just 1kb)
and, of curse, this file does not work.
I am developing in a OSXS 10.2.3 with WO 5.2.x.

How are you supplying the client-side app? Via Web Start? As an
applet? As a desktop application (a wrapped .cmd for the NT client)?
Does the NT client have a 1.3.1 JVM? Do you get any error messages
when the client fails to load it? What version of WO?

Hola,
I am developing a D2J app to capture the movments of a stock... the
development is made on OSXS 10.2 and the client has a W.NT machine.
My problem is that, when running the app (in dev mode), the client
cannot load it. Eventhough in a OSX 10.0 is impossible to
load-and-run it.
Since we are still in the try-error-correct-try part of the proces,
i do not want to go thru all the build-and-deploy process for each
single modification of these alpha-app.
Is there any way of doing this easer??
