With 5.1 you have to have the WO deployment environment installed for
the frameworks to be installed properly. With 5.2 you can build the
project so that all required files and frameworks are included in the
.woa folder.
At least that's the way I understand it since I haven't actually tried
it.

Newbie question
I have WO5.1 and have been looking at the jsp/servlet usage. I have
only used straight WO with WO application server.
From a brief read through am I wrong to think the following?
I can take existing applications that require WO application server
and rebuilt them to deploy on a Linux machine with Apache and Tomcat
running. ie not need for WO application server. I see comments and
literature on this topic but want a clean answer rather than reading
300 pages finding out oooo but you still need a WO application server
running to grab "x" information or resources.
Scenario.
Customer has a couple of spare machines they want me to configure for
work. They want Linux installed on them and a database on one and
an application server on the other. (Windows shop who hate Macs and
are willing to bend with Linux.) Can I rebuild my apps to run as
servlets from PB and use Tomcat to serve the pages? Is there
something I am missing on the feasibility side? Like I said, from the
documentation there is a bunch of jabber on java servers.......I was
thinking this is too good to be true.........
