I have to agree with Anjo... there ain't nothin' like learning from
someone who's been there before! I know it means spending another $5k
(or whatever), but I'm sure that would be money very well spent in terms
of avoiding spending $5k-worth of your own time scrambling up the
learning curve solo!
I've been with WO for nearly 5 years, and I'm still glad of the initial
training I got back then (from a former NeXT man, as it happens).

Hi Goodbye (or would that be Bill?-),
Thanks for this informative post. It's seldom anyone from the other side
of the fence gets into any greater details on why they want to do things
differently.

Let's face it, time is money. I need to be productive on whatever
platform I am using.
Then my advice would be to spend the $ 5K (or whatever it is) on the
Apple courses. I know from personal experience that it's a drag to learn
WO by yourself. Even though you can be productive pretty fast, it's just
to much you don't know and you will constantly stumble on Strange
Things(tm).
Of course, Strange Things(tm) will still happen (can you find me a
professional development/deployment environment where they NEVER do?) -
but you'll have a much better place to start from ... and there's always
us nice folks here on WebObjects-dev (there's also
email@hidden, btw).
