A search of AppleCare's Knowledge Base for 'WebObjects "character
set"' turned up "WebObjects 5: How to Connect to Sybase With EOModeler"
(http://docs.info.apple.com/article2.html?artnum=75291). In this
article is an example connection info URL that set the character set:
jdbc:sybase:Tds:myServer:4100/testDB?charset=ascii_7
