Kedves Art!

I'd tried your suggestion, but it is not working: if I use ascii_7, the special characters appears as interogation marks ('?'); if I use cp850 (my server configuration), they change for something else; ascii_8 is not recognized...
I do not know what else shall I try.

Nevertheless thanks for the hint, tha article was interesting by it self, eventhough a bit basic; specially the reference in there (http://developer.apple.com/technotes/tn/tn2027.html ).

Does some one know how to change the character set of an eomodel??
Any help will be very welcome

A search of AppleCare's Knowledge Base for 'WebObjects "character set"' turned up "WebObjects 5: How to Connect to Sybase With EOModeler" (http://docs.info.apple.com/article2.html?artnum=75291). In this article is an example connection info URL that set the character set:

jdbc:sybase:Tds:myServer:4100/testDB?charset=ascii_7

Aloha,
Art
