Optimistic locking solved... nearly

Hi all

I solved the problem, kind of.

I had a attribute which is External type of TIMESTAMP and Internal
type of Date

In my earlier posts I had noticed that an editing of a previous edited
EO was giving an exception.

Once all the locks were off it then was OK and the exception did not
occur.

I replaced all the locks and left the lock off the attribute that had
the TIMESTAMP

It then still updated and all worked well.

Why does Optimistic Locking fail on this type of attribute?

Does notification not occur for this type of attribute.

Is this a bug.

best

Gino
