If you did not find the location of the uninstall then you did not
remove everything. When searching the registry search for *both*
c:/Apple and c:\Apple. Make sure that you removed the containing
folder if it makes sense to do to (I'll leave that up to your judgement.
It might be a permissions problem.
Doesn't Apple provide telephone support for installation problems.
Worth looking into!

Dov,
Thanks for the response. I am running Windows 2000, and I did try what
you suggested, I deleted the Apple directory, I searched through the
Registry and removed all reference to Apple and Web O. However I didn't
find the location of the uninstall, so It still shows up in the Add
Remove programs. So I had to repair the install (instead of doing a
clean install), and still the same problem.
Any other Ideas?

you didn't mention if it was Unix, OSX, or Windows. In any case I would
delete all of the WebObjects install manually and reinstall. If on
Windows, make sure to delete the registry settings and the services -
probably will have to reboot a couple of times
Good luck

I had to hose the 5.1 install on my machine because I was getting some
unexpected results. I am trying to repair the install, using the
repair
feature of the installer. It goes through and copies all of the
files,
and seems to setup all of the things that it needs to. But just
before
the reboot, I get the following error:
An Installation File could not be removed
Catastrophic Failure.
Any ideas? There is plenty of space on the disk, I have disabled
Norton, so far nothing seems to work. And when I run EO Modeler, I
get
errors with NSSelector, or something along those lines.
Hopefully somebody out there can point me in the right direction.
