I was wondering if there's an easy way to recreate a PHP/MySQL groupware solution in WebObjects. I came across a very nice solution (http://www.moregroupware.org), but I want to build something similar in WebObjects.

There are several professional solutions already, the one that comes to my mind is GroupVille (http://www.groupville.com/).
Also Skyrix have open-sourced their (large!) Groupware app: http://www.opengroupware.org/.

Now I'm totaly new to WebObjects, so I'm not sure what I'm getting into!!

Well...OpenGroupware has admittedly 700.000 lines of code (but this contains a clone of WO and EOF in Objective-C). My guess is that you could achieve about the same functionality with Project Wonder (http://wonder.sourceforge.net/) and DirectToWeb in about 5% of this amount of code, and most of this would be generated. But this is a very rough estimate and not for the faint of heart:)
