There's been some chat lately about Windows trials of WebObjects.
I'm wondering what requirements there are to run JavaMonitor for WO 5.2
using a browser running on Windows 2000 or XP?
Lets say I have a deployment license to run WO 5.2 on a G5 machine running
Jaguar, but I want to remote control my WO apps on Xserve from a laptop
running Windows 2000 or XP. How can I do this w/out needing to buy another
WO license for Windows? ('cause I sure as heck ain't going to deploy WO on
my Windows laptop!).
I noticed on my Mac (from the WO Developer 5.2 demo trial) that JavaMonitor
has a Windows directory containing a wickedly long 'n nasty script:
/System/Library/WebObjects/JavaApplications/JavaMonitor.woa/Contents/Windows/JavaMonitor.cmd
I'm not good at understanding Windows cmd scripts so I'm not sure what the
prerequisites are for running JavaMonitor.cmd on a Win 2000 or XP laptop
(are the jars from Apple required and therefore another license fee required
to pay to Apple even though I'm only deploying on Jaguar on my G5)?
Thanks to any windows WO users who might know.
