Deployment problem on OS X

I am reaching the point in my travels where I am wanting to deploy my
test D2J applications to see how well they work over a network /
internet.
I have used the deployment licence key, and am using OS X 10.2.6 (note
- standard OS, not server). I choose the deployment build style to get
the required files. I then use monitor to add the development machine
as a host, add the application etc.
If I access the app from the host machine, no problem. But where there
is a problem is that some of the URLs are using the machine's
Rendezvous name as a domain name. Consequentially other machines trying
to connect (that aren't aware of rendezvous) are not able to launch the
app.
Can someone tell me what I need to do to get the JNLP(?) file etc to
use the ip address of the host machine, rather than the rendezvous
name? Is OS X Server (or the listed supported platforms) required?
Thanks,
Ray.
