For Eclipse with CVS, the WOLips plugin in from
http://www.objectstyle.org/woproject/ provides WO build tools that also
respectfully ignore the CVS meta-data directories so they won't pollute
your builds. There are WOLips releases for the 2.x and 3.0 branches of
Eclipse. It works for both Mac and Windows. Eclipse is the only IDE I've
ever liked, and WOLips has worked wonderfully.

I haven't experimented with subversion, but there is an Eclipse 3.0
plugin that supports Mac, Linux and Windows
(http://subclipse.tigris.org/). There is a bit of discussion on the
WOLips lists (http://objectstyle.org/woproject/lists.html) about
subversion and getting WOLips to ignore its metadata directories with
mixed success.

Mike,

I have been turning around subversion for a while and for the moment I have hold off because subversion like cvs used small file in directories to keep track of things. WOBuilder and EOModeler have been trained to respect those CVS directories but to my knowledge they don't do it with other files. May be someone can write a category to change that behavior?

Before I spend a day getting my projects into subversion, is anyone using it with XCode and/or Eclipse to manage webobjects projects? I notice that svn doesn't use the broken concept of cvswrappers but I'm wondering how it handles bundles or if there is some mechanism to allow it correctly deal with them.

Thanks for any help
Mike
